National Australia Bank SME Award

B&E Ltd and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra won the National Australia Bank SME Award. A long term commitment from B&E saved the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Under the Stars. These free, open-air concerts for the community are held in Hobart and Launceston every year.
Toyota Community Award

Aurora Energy and Tasmanian Theatre Company won the Toyota Community Award. This decade-long partnership operates throughout Tasmania, bringing theatre to young Tasmanians. Aurora’s support delivers activities ranging from schools tours to performance competitions and arts projects for community groups.
KPMG adviceBank Award

Lynda Jones, Bob Campbell (groupwork) and Stompin won the KPMG adviceBank Award for business advisers who volunteer with arts organisations. Lynda and Bob assisted Launceston-based youth dance company Stompin to develop a business and marketing plan. This helped Stompin at a crucial time in its development – mid-way through its first triennial funding agreement.
Marsh Partnering Award

Telstra and Lucy Who Productions won the Marsh Partnering Award for their performing arts project, underwhere. The performance is staged out of a manhole in the street and makes use of Telstra’s underground networks. More than a sponsorship, this project sees artists and Telstra staff exchanging ideas in a unique collaboration.
AbaF Giving Award

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra won the AbaF Giving Award which is presented to an arts organisation for a successful fundraising program. The TSO’s annual donations program, established in 2002, is a crucial part of the orchestra’s sustainability. Donations help to support educational events, commission new music and buy new instruments.
City of Melbourne Encouragement Award - national finalist

RACT Insurance and Tasmanian Regional Arts are finalists in the City of Melbourne Encouragement Award, for the RACT Insurance Tasmanian Youth Portraiture Prize. This is an art prize for young Tasmanian artists, in which all entries are required to be a portrait of a living Tasmanian.
