Adrian Basso

Just wanted to thank AbaF for the amazing opportunity of attending the Mt Eliza Leadership program. I found it a most rewarding experience and look forward to applying many of the ideas and approaches from the course. I was lucky to be with such a lovely bunch of people with such diverse backgrounds.

I have been thinking about the term most appropriate to the week-long adventure, as it was not always obvious where we were going. But by the end,  I would describe it as somewhere between epiphany and  eye-opening.

Adrian Basso, general manager of PBS-FM in Melbourne, was a Margarate Lawrence Scholarship winner in July 2009.

Rick Heath

“What a fantastic opportunity. Rarely if ever do we discuss and debate strategy at this level in the arts industry. The frameworks presented, whilst needing a little mental conversion to make them relevant in a not-for-profit sense, were all useful and something that I will certainly carry forward in future business, marketing and strategic planning."

Rick Heath, general manager of Buzz Dance (WA) participated in Strategic Thinking and Action Program at Melbourne Business School, August 2007.

Lindy Allen

"Much of what I have learned I am able to directly apply within my role as CEO of a small-to-medium organisation. I believe this will make me better able to support my staff in a way that reflects their needs. I also feel much better equipped to respond to the leadership challenges that are inherent in managing a not-for-profit organisation.”

Lindy Allen, Regional Arts Victoria participated in a three-day Foundations of Leadership program at Melbourne Business School in June 2007.
