This workshop will provide a practical framework for indentifying, cultivating and soliciting support from prospective major donors. Building on the critical success factors for creating an organisational culture that fosters philanthropic support, it will explore the role of the Board, CEO and other executives - as well as that of the fundraiser - in developing and managing rewarding relationships with your supporters.
Issues will be explores through peer discussion in the light of real-life case studies.
By attending this workshop you will:
- gain a clearer understanding of philanthropy and how it differs from sponsorship or cause related marketing;
- be encouraged to re-asses your role as a leader in the process of building successful philanthropic relationships; and
- apply the key principles underlying donor relationships in order to reconsider your organisation's philanthropic potential.
Who would benefit from this workshop?
Board members from arts organisations are encouraged to attend this workshop. Chief executive officers, general managers, senior executives can also attend with a board member from their organisation.
About the presenter - Frankie Airey
Frankie has in-depth knowledge of the philanthopic sector both within Australia and the UK working for organisations such as Oxford University, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Victorian Arts Centre and the Sydney Opera House. She is a member of Philanthropy Australia and a Board member of the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne.
