Sydney-based writer, Peter Cross has teamed with producer Melissa Azizi and director Will Kuether to produce the short film, Shopping.
From the moment two women meet as children in the shopping aisle, their touch establishes a connection that will last the rest of their lives. They meet through the years in the same aisle and begin to realise that the one thing they are searching for is each other. As the world keeps changing around them they are continually pulled apart. When they meet for the last time, they realise that their missed opportunities for love need never tear them apart again.
This film is a poetic observation of our human condition’s desire to love and be loved. It draws attention to the issues of homosexuality, chance, fate and the fear that can regretfully prevent us from loving.
The team intends to produce a high-quality short film targeting national and international film festivals. This film is kindly supported by Metro Screen and CineDream.
