adviceBank

adviceBank connects business expertise with arts projects

adviceBank is a free service that matches our bank of expert business volunteers with arts organisations and artists to work on specific challenges. adviceBank projects are flexible, short-term and deliver tangible outcomes.

How it works

AbaF introduces business advisors to arts organisations and artists in need of their expertise.
Typical adviceBank projects include:

  • business and strategic planning
  • risk management
  • marketing
  • human resource issues
  • occupational health and safety
  • information technology
  • law
  • finance

We match our volunteer business advisors with not-for-profit arts organisations and individual artists who have registered with us for specific advice.  We also provide ongoing mentoring and support.

The main objective of adviceBank is to develop the knowledge and skills of arts managers, arts organisations and artists through working with a business advisor.

adviceBank projects are eligible to be nominated for the Woodside Better Business Award at the annual AbaF Awards.

Business volunteers can register interest here, or contact your local AbaF office.

AbaF is proud to partner with Woodside to present the Woodside Better Business program which includes our two volunteering services, adviceBank and boardBank.
