adviceBank

adviceBank connects the arts with business expertise

adviceBank is a free service that matches arts organisations with business volunteers to work on specific challenges. adviceBank projects are flexible, short-term and deliver tangible outcomes.

How it works

Any not-for-profit arts organisation in need of business advice can approach AbaF for help.

We will:

  • help you clarify the business issue or challenge
  • arrange introductions to suitable business volunteers
  • provide support and monitor the project

adviceBank expertise includes:

  • business and strategic planning
  • risk management
  • marketing
  • human resources
  • occupational health and safety
  • information technology
  • law
  • finance

The main objective of adviceBank is to develop the knowledge and skills of arts managers through working with a business advisor.

adviceBank projects are eligible to be nominated for the Woodside Better Busines Award at the annual AbaF Awards

To register for adviceBank, please download and print the Woodside Better Business - Arts Registration form and return a signed completed copy to your local AbaF office.
